The Batman producer Dylan Clark and Golden Globe nominee Adam Sandler will work together on a new Netflix series called They Were Just Nice People. The movie is still in its infancy and is looking for a writer to help make it a reality.
Storyline
They Were Just Nice People, which is billed as a comic art heist, is anticipated to tell the tale of a married couple who work as art thieves at night and as school instructors during the day.
Movie Release Date
July 25 is the scheduled premiere date.
Production
Together with Clark, Sandler will produce under the Happy Madison label for Dylan Clark Productions. Netflix executive Jason Young will supervise the project for the streamer, while Dylan Clark Productions has hired Brian Williams to handle it.
Sandler currently has a deal to star in two well-known Netflix films that will both be released this year. The first is the eagerly anticipated Happy Gilmore 2, in which Sandler will play one of his most famous roles to date.
Cast
Returning cast members from the 1996 sports comedy film, including as Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, and Ben Stiller as Hal, will also appear in the film.
New Characters
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny), Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Travis Kelce, and Blake Clark will be joining them as new roles.
In addition to Happy Gilmore, he will soon be seen in Noah Baumbach’s Oscar-winning coming-of-age dramedy, Jay Kelly, starring Laura Dern and George Clooney. Its plot and character elements are still being kept under wraps. The Netflix-produced film is presently scheduled for release in November 2025.
