“Sam had a big jump from year one. He had a tremendous jump, right?,” Smart said to describe Arkansas lead trainer Sam Pittman during his SEC Coaches video chat this week. “From each match he dominated there was one more. Along these lines, he worked effectively there and keeps on developing. I believe what’s truly helped Sam is the up front investment and convictions that the children have in him, and that he has either eight or nine super seniors. You realize eight or nine super seniors has a major effect. You’re discussing those are (Justin) Shaffer’s and Devonte Wyatt’s. Two of our better, more experienced players, you duplicate that occasions four, and they got that. Furthermore, they have 16 something seniors. They have seven or eight returners on the two sides of the ball. You don’t see that in the SEC. I told individuals before the season began, record it. Groups with senior administration, groups with experience, groups with the most seniors consistently does well in our meeting, and presumably they’re doing likewise here.
