As the actors of Gareth Edwards’ Rebirth introduced a brand-new episode Tuesday night, London took refuge from some iconic Jurassic World dinosaurs.
The film’s major players, Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend, together with the director and producers, attended the glamorous world premiere at Leicester Square’s Odeon Luxe.
The Universal film, the seventh installment in a series that started with Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster, is expected to gross between $120 million and $125 million during the five-day holiday period if tracking is accurate.
David Koepp’s Jurassic World Rebirth is set five years after the events of Colin Trevorrow’s Dominion. Dinosaurs and other extinct species now find the Earth’s environment uninhabitable, and those that remain live in isolated tropical areas.
Bailey portrays Dr. Henry Loomis in Jurassic World: Rebirth, while Johansson plays Zora Bennett. Written by David Koepp and directed by Gareth Edwards, the movie is a stand-alone follow-up to Jurassic World Dominion. The premise, which takes place five years after the last film, centers on a team of specialists who are sent to a secluded island that was the site of the first Jurassic Park to recover dinosaur DNA. Their goal might alter the direction of contemporary medicine.
There isn’t a romance developing off-screen, despite the excitement surrounding Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey’s red carpet meeting. Since 2020, Johansson and Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost have been wed. In a Live With Kelly and Mark interview, she continued to rave about her spouse, describing him as a “very, very great guy.” The Avengers actress has two children from her previous and present relationships: Cosmo and Rose.
On July 2, Jurassic World Rebirth will be released in North America and the United Kingdom.
