The upcoming “Meet the Parents” film is expected to feature Ariana Grande. The Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated “Wicked” actress will co-star with Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller in the upcoming movie.

Producer and Director by
Through their Tribeca Productions, Jane Rosenthal and De Niro will serve as producers. Production will be handled by Jay Roach via Delirious Media. Red Hour Films will be the production company for Stiller and John Lesher. Hamburg will use Particular Pictures to produce.
The original group, which includes Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner, is returning to star under director John Hamburg. This script is also written by Hamburg, who co-wrote the three previous Meet the Parents films.

The project will be managed for the studio by Universal’s Director of Production Development, Jacqueline Garell, and EVP Production Development, Matt Reilly.
Grande has received a good number of scripts since her iconic portrayal as Glinda in Wicked. She eventually returned to the lot on a project Universal is thrilled about because of her close links to the studio.
With nearly $800 million in global revenue, Wicked broke box office records and became the most successful Broadway musical film adaption ever. Grande was nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globe, SAG, and BAFTA for Supporting Actress for her performance as Glinda. The movie won for Production Design and Costume Design and had ten Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
