LAIKA, Fathom Entertainment, and Trafalgar Releasing have revealed the animated horror comedy ParaNorman’s limited cinema rerelease dates. Coraline’s 15th anniversary rerelease was a huge success, grossing $56 million worldwide.
When will ParaNorman be rereleased in theaters?
Starting on October 23 in international markets and October 25 in the United States, ParaNorman will make its official comeback to theaters in remastered 3D for a special week-long Halloween run. The movie has consistently maintained an 89% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes since its 2012 premiere.
Along with the rerelease, viewers will also get to see a brand-new ParaNorman short film called ParaNorman: The Thrifing, which will feature voices by Anna Kendrick and Finn Wolfhard. The latter will be reprising her role as Courtney Babcock, Norman’s elder sister. Chris Butler wrote the script, and Thibault LeClercq, LAIKA’s main character designer, is directing it. Passion Pictures is producing. Plot specifics are still being kept under wraps.
