Who’s nominated?
Buena Vista Social Club, Death Becomes Her, and Maybe Happy Ending are the most nominated productions at the Tony Awards this year. All three are new musicals with ten nominations each. With seven nominations each, John Proctor Is the Villain and The Hills of California were the front-runners in play land. Oh, Mary!, the clear favorite for Best Play, and Sunset Blvd. and Dead Outlaw, both musicals with seven nominations, are other productions to keep an eye on.
This year, is there a Tonys pre-show?
Tony Awards: Act One, hosted by Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry, will broadcast on Pluto TV at 6:40 p.m. ET/3:40 PT before the main program. Act One will include the presentation of several of this year’s Tony Awards before the main event.
When are the Tonys?
The Tony Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
How to watch?
You can watch the Tony Awards live on CBS. Showtime on Paramount+ will stream the ceremony for cord-cutters. Although they won’t be able to see the live performance, Paramount+ Essential customers will be able to watch the ceremony the following day.
