“Weapons” already looks as amazing as the trailer they released suggests, and Creggar’s last horror film, “Barbarian,” was a complete standout in its genre when it was released in 2022.
Storyline
All except one of the pupils in the same class inexplicably disappear on the same night at precisely the same moment in this film. No one seemed to know where the kids went or why they did it, despite CCTV and security footage later discovered showing them all racing through the streets in the same manner. A community is left wondering after the incident who or what is responsible for their disappearance.
Cast
Josh Brolin plays Archer Graff, the father of one of the missing children, Matthew, in the cast. Julia Garner plays Justine Gandy, a teacher who discovers that nearly every student in her class has disappeared. Cary Christopher as Alex Lilly, the only student from Justine’s class who did not go missing; Benedict Wong as Andrew, the principal of the school; June Diane Raphael as Gladys, Alex’s aunt; Clayton Farris as Terry; Toby Huss as Captain Ed, the police captain; Luke Speakman as Matthew Graff, Archer’s son and one of Justine’s missing students; Alden Ehrenreich as Paul, a police officer with a complicated relationship with Justine; Austin Abrams as Anthony, a drug addict and burglar; and Cary Christopher as Justine’s classmate.
