James O’Barr’s comic series of the same name served as the inspiration for the superhero movie The Crow. In the primary role, Bill Skarsgård plays Eric Draven. The movie examines themes of mortality, love, loss, retaliation, and the essence of life.

When the movie came out in 1994, it was widely praised for its plot. LionsGate PLAY is scheduled to debut the movie on August 14, 2025.

Storyline
The film’s plot centers on Eric, an addict who had a difficult upbringing and battles his life and nightmares when he is in a recovery facility. When he falls in love with Shelly Webster and they decide to get married, his life takes an exciting turn. However, the day before their wedding, Shelly and Eric are brutally slain, dramatically shattering their plans.
In a rail yard, Eric unexpectedly awakens to find that he is still alive. He finds out that a spirit guide named Kronos is pressuring him to murder Reog in order to save Shelly. The movie investigates if Eric can face Reog and save Shelly in the end.
