Alex Garland is Directing A Live-action “Elden Ring” Film

Elden Ring appears to be A24’s most ambitious movie to date, which is a big step forward for the studio known for its arthouse and indie sensibilities. Today, the most expensive production on A24 is Garland’s Civil War, which made about $127 million worldwide on a $50 million budget. Warfare made about $32 million on a $20 million budget.

Garland also wrote the screenplays for the two next 28 Years Later movies. The release date of Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later is set for June 5. The Bone Temple, Nia DaCosta’s sequel, will be published on June 16, 2026.
