The long-awaited Harry Potter TV series on HBO has formally revealed its new lead trio. As Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, respectively, Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout were chosen to play the parts that made Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint famous throughout the world.
HBO Max Announces the Cast of the Harry Potter TV Series
There are plans to turn Harry Potter into a television show, which will debut on HBO Max. The actors who will play Harry, Hermione, and Ron were eagerly anticipated by fans, and the channel has now revealed the cast.
The young members of the cast are relatively new. Golda Rosheuvel and Nick Frost co-star in the comedy Grow for Sky, which McLaughlin recently filmed. From 2023 to 2024, Stanton portrayed the title character in Matilda: The Musical on the West End. Stout’s first significant on-screen part is in Harry Potter.

Showrunner and executive producer Francesca Gardiner and director and executive producer Mark Mylod, in a joint report said, “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione and Ron.”
“The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there,” the report further read.

J. K. Rowling, a British author, is the author of the Harry Potter book series. The book was adapted into a movie series, in which Emma Watson played Hermione Granger, Daniel Radcliffe played Harry Potter, and Rupert Grint played Ron Weasley.
Production is expected to begin later this year, with a release date anticipated in 2026.
