A documentary about Slim Shady, also known as Eminem, Marshall Mathers, will be shown exclusively in AMC theaters from August 7 to August 10.

Titled “Stans,” after the rapper’s iconic song about an obsessed, insane superfan, the film will investigate Eminem’s career through the eyes of his most ardent admirers.

The theatrical rollout in the United States is being handled by AMC Theatres Distribution, which was established following the release of Beyonce’s “Renaissance” and Taylor Swift’s concert documentary “The Eras Tour.” At least two showtimes will be available daily at more than 135 AMC sites. “Stans” will not be eligible for AMC Stubs A-List reservations or discounted tickets due to the film’s short run. Additionally, the movie will have a full week of awards-qualifying screenings at the AMC Empire 25 in New York.

On the same day, Trafalgar Releasing will release “Stans” internationally, with 1,600 cinemas anticipated to screen the movie in 50 countries.

A press announcement for the Steven Leckart-directed film “Stans” said it explored the “complicated relationship between one of the world’s most private artists and his massive public persona.” The film explores the highs and lows of Eminem’s career with new interviews, archive video, and recreations. With songs including “Lose Yourself,” “Without Me,” “Stan,” “Real Slim Shady,” and “Love the Way You Lie,” the 15-time Grammy winner produced “Stans” alongside Paul Rosenberg, Stuart Parr, Antoine Fuqua, Tony DiSanto, and David Schiff.
