YouTuber and entrepreneur Alexander David Manns is launching his career in acting. The multi-talented influencer took time out to explain.

What inspired you to take the acting road?

I always wanted to be able to entertain people and just the thought of people seeing me on a big screen or on a series would be interesting. I love action, comedy and love movies and I’m just naturally always making jokes and impersonating people.

What areas of acting interest you the most?

Action and adventures with a little romance and comedy are always my favorite. You never know what funny thing is going to be said or romantic heart throb thing will happen next.

Are you taking any acting or improv classes?

Honestly, I haven’t but once I get more exposed, I do want to. I’ll be auditioning for a lot of parts and I don’t know it sounds weird, but I think the future holds some great roles for me to take in. 

Is there a specific genre that appeals to you?

I love Greek mythology action movies, fantasy,and sci-fi movies and also comedy movies. Comedy wise I think Adam Sandler really set the tone for comedy movies so if I ever did comedy,I’d want it to be like his. He set the golden bar.

What makes you unique?

I’m good at being in character and I’m very imaginative. And I spend all day doing funny impressions of people with family and my wife. So, something like acting is second nature to me. I think it just comes naturally. I mean classes are cool but if you have the right personality, you can just act. But I do think classes will make me a better actor in general. 

What actors do you look up to?

I look up to ones like Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. I think all their movies impacted the world. 

Which directors would you like to work with?

It would be awesome to work with like Spike Lee in order to do something for the culture and then also directors like Tyler Perry and Micheal Bay because his action movies are amazing!

What are your top 5 favorite movies?
