Additionally, Bullock and Kidman will be joined by five new cast members: Maysie Williams (Game of Thrones), Xolo Maridueña (Cobra Kai, Blue Beetle), Joey King (The Act, The Kissing Booth), Lee Pace (Foundation), and Solly McLeod (The Dead Don’t Hurt). It is anticipated that King would “discover the dark family secrets and her own dark powers, plunging the family into a crisis” as the daughter of Bullock’s Sally Owens.

The film crew released a statement saying, “We are excited to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly, and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story. Twenty-five years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet, and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman’s beloved novel and into theaters around the world.” “Our inspiration to present the next chapter in the Owens’ story to both new fans and those who have been with us from the start has come from the enduring affection for these characters.”

Griffe Dunne directed the first Practical Magic film. Aidan Quinn, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest were also featured. Kidman and Bullock played sisters Gillian and Sally Owens, who come from a long line of witches, respectively, in the 1998 film. Before he actually hurts them, they must work together to use their magic to crush the evil soul of Jimmy, Gillian’s violent boyfriend.
