Rihanna Upcoming New Song “Friend of Mine” Release Date

Rihanna’s first single in almost three years will be released this week. “Friend of Mine” will be released by the diva for the upcoming Smurfs movie.

Smurfs will be released in theaters on July 18th, while “Friend of Mine” will be released on May 16.

Also starring John Goodman, James Corden, Nick Offerman, Sandra Oh and more, the new Smurfs will follow the residents of Smurf Village banding together to rescue Papa Smurf after he is captured by an evil wizard. In addition to voice acting and recording a song for the project, Ri also served as a producer.
