What was a major challenge you had to overcome to get to where you are today?
One of the biggest challenges I had was my skin. I had such severe cystic acne that pharmaceuticals couldn’t seem to fix. Eventually I discovered an amazing aesthetician who was able to help clear up my cystic acne and set me on the path to repairing my skin. From that moment, I wanted to know how I could repair my skin at the deepest cellular level. Eventually, I was able to repair 80% of my own acne scarring. This was a huge boost to my self-esteem and really encouraged me to start a clinic of my own, where I could help others achieve the same results.
If you could start over, what would you do differently?
I would have managed my stress better. It takes such a toll on all aspects of your life, especially your health and relationships. I would’ve had more faith that even in the face of extreme challenges, things would work out. And I would’ve spent more time with my husband and kids.
What exciting projects are on the horizon for you/your business?
We have lots of exciting developments coming. We’re working on some new treatments including the Jett plasma, which is the ONLY pen I would put my name behind. The new MOXI laser by Sciton which we are the first to have. It is a non-ablative fractional laser for all ethnicities, and what I call a “Baby Halo Laser” for everything from lines, to pigment, to acne. The new Exceed micro-needling is a game changer when it comes to micro-needling. And finally the new HERO by Sciton which we will launch in fall as you cant have sun exposure with it. It will be the fastest BBL on the market for very quick body rejuvenation to lift off brown spots and redness from sun damage.
