Amy Taylor’s upcoming second novel, Ruins, will be adapted into a movie, which Oscar nominees Vanessa Kirby and Sebastian Stan will both produce and star in. The project is a joint venture between Linden Entertainment, Scott Free, and Kirby’s own production company, Aluna Entertainment, which she will also produce.

Stan and Kirby have agreed to produce the film in addition to being the main actors. Kirby will debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on July 25 in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, while Stan most recently acted in the Marvel Studios film Thunderbolts*. Both of them are presently working on Avengers: Doomsday, where they will play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, respectively.
Storyline
The official summary explains that the story is about luxury and power, intimacy and desire, and how a couple’s romance with a young Greek lady during the summer in Athens threatens to destroy their relationship.

As of right now, the Ruins film does not yet have a director or release date. Under the name Aluna Entertainment, Kirby is producing. Linden and Scott Free will also produce the project. The acquisition deal was overseen by Alexandra Loewy, the Miramax head.

In addition to Ruins, Stan will next be seen with Leo Woodall from The White Lotus in Justin Kurzel’s Burning Rainbow Farm.
