Guitarist John Frusciante will drop a his eleventh independent album Maya on Oct. 23.

To stoke excitement for the release, he has shared another, synth-loaded drum-and-bass single/music video named “Brand E.”

Already, Frusciante shared the Maya single “Amethblowl” and clarified that the LP was roused – to some extent – by his late pet cat.

“Maya was with me as I made music for 15 years, so I wanted to name it after her,” he said in an official statement. “She loved music.”

To the help of numerous fans, Frusciante rejoined the positions of the Red Hot Chili Peppers a year ago.
