April 2024: New cars that Include the Facelifted Mahindra XUV300 and Skoda Superb

Indian automakers have a number of new car launches planned for April, so they’re getting ready for an exciting new fiscal year. These are the new cars that HT Auto will make their public debut in April of this year.

Urban Cruiser Toyota Taisor

The much-awaited release of Toyota Motor’s Urban Cruiser Taisor, a small SUV that draws design cues from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, is one of the event’s main attractions. This is Toyota and Maruti Suzuki’s fourth joint venture in India, highlighting the strategic partnership between the two massive automakers. The Taisor SUV, which is slated for release on April 3, is anticipated to borrow various styling cues from the Fronx while also adding unique modifications to components like the grille, bumper, and alloy wheels.

The addition of the Urban Cruiser Taisor branding and the prominent Toyota emblem are noteworthy changes.

The 1.0-liter BoosterJet turbo petrol and the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engines are the two available engine options for the Taisor, with a hybrid powertrain option also possible. With rivals like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter in its sights, the Taisor is well-positioned to have a significant impact on its market.

Facelift for Mahindra XUV300

Mahindra is scheduled to introduce the redesigned XUV300 at the beginning of the year in the compact SUV segment. Anticipated to experience substantial design changes, the XUV300 facelift will feature updated alloy wheels, a redesigned grille, and LED headlights. To improve the overall driving experience, interior upgrades will include a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

A panoramic sunroof is one feature that the XUV300 facelift may introduce, making it the first car of its kind and appealing to more discriminating consumers.

Maruti Swift Cosmetic Enhancements

Maruti Suzuki is anticipated to reveal the redesigned Swift hatchback at a different unveiling. The Swift hatchback is incredibly popular. The fourth generation of the Swift is highly anticipated as it is expected to combine improved performance, state-of-the-art technology, and a stylish design. The new Swift, which debuted with a hybrid drivetrain variant recently in Japan, has been seen testing on Indian roads, indicating that it will soon be available.

A new exterior design, cutting-edge features, and an improved engine configuration are all highly anticipated. The updated Swift will be powered by a new three-cylinder petrol engine with 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. For better fuel economy, a self-charging 12V mild hybrid system will also be included. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on the new Swift might also be included for increased safety.

Altroz Racer by Tata

A high-performance version of Tata Motors’ well-liked Altroz premium hatchback, the Altroz Racer, is about to be unveiled. The Altroz Racer, which builds on the success of its predecessor that was on display at the Auto Expo, has a powerful 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque.

The Altroz Racer’s unique race-inspired aesthetics, which include eye-catching graphics and sporty bucket seats, will enhance its improved performance capabilities. A larger touchscreen display and more sophisticated infotainment options are also planned for the interior.

Volkswagen Superb

Finally, it is probable that Skoda will reintroduce the Superb, its flagship sedan, to the Indian market. The new Superb, which will go on sale on April 3, will have a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 189 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The Superb promises a refined driving experience that is synonymous with the Skoda brand thanks to its cutting-edge driver assistance technology and 360-degree camera system. Despite being temporarily removed from the Indian market, the sedan is anticipated to fetch a higher price upon its return through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, in keeping with its standing as a premium in the class.
