According to the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), on the first day of the Asian Wushu Championships this morning, Farzaneh Dehghani defeated her South Korean opponent, Il Kim, in the 52-kg event. In the second round, she will fight against a rival from China. In the 56-kg event, Razia Tahmasebi lost to “Toy Hava” from Vietnam and withdrew from the competition. In the 60-kg event, Zahra Karimi, another representative of the Iranian Sansho team, lost 2-1 to the Filipino opponent “Marino” and failed to reach the final. It is worth noting that her bronze medal was ensured due to her way to the qualifying match. In the 65-kg event, Khadijeh Azadpour lost 2-0 to her Vietnamese opponent “Tai Wong” and in the next game, she will meet her Indian opponent, who will win a silver medal if she wins against this competitor. In the men’s Sanshoui section, in the 56-kg event, “Jalal Saki” defeated “Wong Min” from Malaysia with a score of 2: 0 in the first round, and in the subsequent level, he must face his Indian opponent. In the continuation of these competitions, this afternoon, in the men’s Sanshou events for the 52-kg, “Masoud Ansari” will compete against “Lee Long”, the representative of Malaysia. In the 80-kg events, Hamidreza Gholipour will fight against “Kumar” from India, and Hossein Ojaghi in the 90-kg event will meet “Singh”, the Indian rival. Also in the women’s section, Marzieh Safari and Mahboubeh Karimi in “Chang Chuan” and Somayeh Mirani in “Chiang Shu” will meet their opponents.
