Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig will co-star in the Warner Bros. comedy Cut Off, which centers on two conceited siblings.
Worldwide Release Date
The film, directed by Hill, will be released in theaters around the world on July 17, 2026. He and Ezra Woods wrote the screenplay for the movie, which Zach Hamby and Jesse Ehrman are directing for the studio. This September, production is scheduled to start.
Plot Summary
The focus of Cut Off is on two brothers whose affluent parents cease providing for them. Strong Baby is produced by Ali Goodwin, Matt Dines, and Hill.
Team Production
Hill has already finished filming the Apple film Outcome, which will be released in the spring of 2026 and stars Hill opposite Matt Bomer, Cameron Diaz, and Keanu Reeves. In collaboration with Dines and Goodwin, Hill produced the movie under his Strong Baby label.
Amazon and A24’s Benito Skinner-led series Overcompensating is also produced by Strong Baby.
After receiving an Emmy nomination for the first season of Apple’s Palm Royale, Wiig executive produces and stars in the show, which premieres its second season in the autumn. In the Universal Pictures film Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, which opens in theaters on September 26, she plays the antagonist.
Previously, Hill directed the Netflix documentary Stutz and the film Mid90s. You People, Don’t Look Up, The Beach Bum, and Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot are some of his most recent on-screen roles.
