‘Dog Man’ Movie OTT Release Date and Streaming Platform

Dog Man is moving to streaming following a successful theatrical run. Several 2025 films, including DreamWorks Animation’s most recent animated blockbuster, will be released in May.

Dog Man, one of author Dav Pilkey’s popular graphic novels, will be streamed on Peacock beginning on May 30. The animated movie can be purchased or rented digitally on Apple TV, Prime Video (starting at $5.99), and other high-end video-on-demand services until then.

Dog Man Arrives on Digital After Box Office Success

The most popular half-dog, half-man police officer in the world has made its home theater debut after earning close to $98 million at the box office.

Dog Man started out as a comic made by two of the story’s characters and is a spinoff of Pilkey’s other well-known illustrated book series, Captain Underpants. It comes after Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, an animated film from DreamWorks that was streamed on Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, and other services in 2017.

Dog Man is based on Dav Pilkey’s graphic novel series and follows a police officer with the head of a dog and the body of a man. After Officer Knight and his canine companion Greg are injured on the job and land in the emergency room, the duo become one when it is decided that neither can survive unless they “sew the dog’s head onto the man’s body.” Dog Man must then foil the evil plans of his enemy, Petey, an orange cat (voiced by Pete Davidson), who clones himself in an effort to create a criminal sidekick but ends up with a curious kitten, Li’l Petey (Lucas Hopkins Calderon) instead.
