Tuesday marked the official opening of Hyderabad-based manufacturing hub for aerospace and defense startup Jeh Aerospace.

According to a statement from the company, the new facility, which has the potential to expand to 160,000 square feet, will offer manufacturing solutions to the aerospace and defense sectors.

The hub’s establishment follows the platform’s acquisition of seed funding totaling USD 2.75 million from General Catalyst and notable figures from the aerospace sector, including former President of Boeing India Pratyush Kumar and CEO and MD of Airbus India Dwarakanath Srinivasan.

Jeh Aerospace was founded by former Chief Operating Officer of Tata Boeing Aerospace Vishal R. Sanghavi and former senior executive of Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Ltd. Venkatesh Mudragalla. With its scalable manufacturing facilities and verified supplier networks, Jeh Aerospace offers ready-made manufacturing solutions to the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry.

According to the statement, the manufacturing hub will change the supply chain experience for international aerospace customers by utilizing verified supplier networks that either match or surpass global quality standards.

According to Sanghavi, this facility is more than just a physical location; it will transform the global aerospace and defense supply chain.

According to the company, the facility will improve the resilience and capabilities of the aerospace industry by building a more resilient and robust supply chain.
