On February 27, the makers unveiled the teaser for the film “Tera Kya Hoga Lovely,” which stars Randeep Hooda and Ilena D’Cruz. Ileana makes her screen comeback with this, following her appearance in the 2021 movie “The Big Bull.” The film, which was directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, illuminates India’s obsession with fair skin and dowries.

The film, which is set in Haryana, stars Ileana as Lovely, a darkly girl who initially wants to marry a suitable match but ultimately decides to pursue higher education. Now enter Randeep Hooda, who develops feelings for her despite her skin tone. But things get complicated when his family finds out that he has feelings for a woman with darker skin.

A social comedy-drama that examines the social pressures surrounding beauty standards is hinted at in the trailer. It does a good job of striking a balance between humor and the seriousness of its message, keeping the main plot intact.

The Sony Pictures Films India-produced film “Tera Kya Hoga Lovely” is expected to provoke conversations about India’s obsession with fair-skinned brides and large dowries. Released on March 8th in honor of International Women’s Day, this movie will be Ileana’s first endeavor since giving birth to her son Koa Phoenix Dolan the previous year.

Ileana will also be appearing in “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” which will be released on March 29 and stars Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
