Metroid Fusion will be the next Game Boy Advance title added to the Nintendo Switch Online library, according to Nintendo.

On March 9, the game will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier.

In addition to the 2021 Switch-exclusive fifth game in the series, Metroid Dread, the release will make the entire mainline 2D Metroid series available on Nintendo Switch. In their original versions, Metroid, Metroid 2 Return of Samus, Super Metroid, and now Metroid Fusion are all included in a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

That’s in addition to Metroid Prime Remastered, a fantastic remaster of the GameCube classic from 2002. All eyes are now on Retro Studios’ long-awaited Metroid Prime 4, as Nintendo seems to be all in on the sci-fi adventures of bounty hunter Samus Aran, a series the company has only shown sporadic commitment to over the years.

The original Game Boy Tetris, two Zeldas (Link’s Awakening DX and The Minish Cap), Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, and WarioWare, Inc. were among the strong starting lineup that Nintendo added to Nintendo Switch Online last month. Following Metroid Fusion, we can anticipate that Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, and Golden Sun will be added to the GBA collection in the coming months. Pokémon Trading Card Game, The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, and Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble will all be available for the Game Boy.
