Blessy wrote, directed, and co-produced the upcoming Malayalam survival drama film “Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life)”. Businesses from the United States and India are involved in this international co-production. An exciting cinematic experience is promised in Aadujeevitham, which is set for release on March 28, 2024.

The 2008 Malayalam novel “Aadujeevitham” by Benyamin, which was inspired by true events, has been adapted for the big screen. A Malayali immigrant laborer forced into slavery as a goatherd on a remote Saudi Arabian farm is portrayed in the movie by Prithviraj Sukumaran as Najeeb.

After reading the novel in 2008, Blessy expressed interest in adapting Aadujeevitham, and the film underwent a protracted development phase that began in 2009. The same year, Prithviraj was cast, and in 2009, Blessy started negotiating with Benyamin and started writing the screenplay. But substantial advancement was hampered by budgetary limitations. After years of effort, Blessy was able to find a producer in 2015, which helped to advance the project. Along with Blessy, producers Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams also joined. Songs and the film’s original score were composed by A. R. Rahman.

Between March 2018 and July 2022, six schedules were shot in the deserts of Wadi Rum, Jordan, and the Sahara, Algeria, with additional scenes shot in Kerala, India. Because of the crew was forced to spend 70 days in the Jordanian desert from March to May 2020. They were ultimately returned to India via the Vande Bharat Mission evacuation program run by the Indian government. On July 14, 2022, the filming concluded.

Kerala Pre-Sales for “Aadujeevitham”

The much-awaited movie “Aadujeevitham” has seen pre-sales in Kerala soar past an incredible 1.25 crore, according to the most recent report from film industry tracker Friday Matinee. Remarkably, pre-sales have already topped 25 lakh in just the last 12 hours, demonstrating intense audience excitement and anticipation. The film has good chances of being a hit when it opens, as evidenced by the spike in pre-sales.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Najeeb Mohammed in the movie, while Amala Paul plays Sainu, Najeeb’s wife; Jimmy Jean-Louis plays Ibrahim Khadiri; Shobha Mohan plays Ummah, Najeeb’s mother; KR Gokul plays Hakeem; Talib Al Balushi plays Khafeel; Rik Aby plays Jasser; and Nazer Karutheni plays Kunjikka for the film.

The film, which had a script by Benyamin and was directed by Blessy, had music by A. R. Rahman, editing by A. Sreekar Prasad, and cinematography by Sunil K. S. Under the auspices of Visual Romance Image Makers, Jet Media Production, and Alta Global Media, Blessy, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and Steven Adams managed the production.
