Invincible will finally return for a second season after being absent for almost two years. On Friday, the animated superhero show got a teaser trailer with a release date of “late 2023,” which is better than nothing.

The majority of the teaser takes place in a diner and focuses on a conversation between Allen The Alien (Seth Rogan) and Invincible (Steven Yeun) about whether pickles should be included in burgers and, more importantly, when fans can anticipate Invincible returning. We get a brief montage of the hard work that went into writing, animating, and acting Invincible when Allan presses for a release date. After that, he says “late 2023,” which Allan basically just takes at face value.

The eight-episode first season of Invincible debuted on Amazon Prime video in spring 2021. Sandra Oh plays Debbie Grayson in the show, and J.K. Simmons plays Omni-Man, the show’s breakout character and general meme-generating machine. Robert Kirkman’s (The Walking Dead) comic book serves as the basis for the show.

Season 2 of the show will once again air on Amazon Prime Video when it returns later this year, but the number of episodes has not yet been announced.
