Kamal Haasan’s current slate of films is impressive, especially considering that other Indian movie stars have become accustomed to releasing one movie a year or sometimes even every two years.

In 2024, Kamal Haasan appears anxious to make up for his lackluster 2023 with no releases. The 69-year-old actor, with his incredible lineup, is really challenging today’s young stars.

  1. Kalki 2898 AD

Producer Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies produces the Telugu science fiction film Kalki 2898 AD, written and directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie is set to debut on June 27, 2024, and is only a few weeks away from that day.

Prabhas’s character Bhairava and Kamal Haasan are said to have a falling out in the movie. Kamal Haasan is expected to appear on screen for a maximum of twenty minutes in Part 1. Still, in Part 2, he will be on screen for ninety minutes.

Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and a host of other celebrities helm the picture, which is unquestionably the next big thing in Indian cinema.

  1. Indian 2

Indian 2, which was directed by Shankar, is a follow-up to the 1996 film Indian, which starred Kamal Haasan and Manisha Koirala in the key parts. Kamal Haasan is set to reprise his role as Senapathy, the ferocious vigilante who battles against injustice in the film’s sequel.

Many postponements and delays have been experienced by the movie. After much anticipation, it will finally open in theaters on July 12.

Additionally starring in important parts in Indian 2 are Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek, Brahmanandam, Manobala, Nedumudi Venu, and others.

For the film’s soundtrack, Anirudh Ravichander has been brought on board. May 22nd marks the release of Indian 2’s lead single.

  1. Thug Life

Thug Life, one of the most anticipated Kollywood films of the year, is the second joint venture between two of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, who previously collaborated on Nayakan.

The film is reportedly scheduled for release in November 2024, despite the lack of an official notification regarding its release date.

Along with Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, and a number of other well-known actors, Kamal Haasan plays the film’s lead role. The thrilling part of Thug Life is that it will also signify the reunion of long-rumored lovebirds Simbu and Trisha.
