Dhanush’s Directorial Debut ‘Raayan’ Launches Musical Promotions

With his 50th film as an actor, “Raayan,” National Award-winning actor Dhanush dons the director’s hat for the second time in his storied career. Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram will also be appearing on screen with him in a Sun Pictures production that is expected to set new norms for production quality.

The lyrical video for the first song, “Thala Vanchi Eragade,” was released by the producers to launch the musical adventure of “Raayan.” The mass number, which was composed by the renowned AR Rahman, features Dhanush in a standout role as he leads villagers in a lively dance at a colorful carnival. The song, which features the stirring vocals of Hemachandra and Sarath Santosh and lyrics by the esteemed poet Chandrabose, was choreographed by the legendary Prabhu Deva. It is sure to strike a chord with listeners of all stripes, but especially with the general public.

The handlebar mustache and short hair of Dhanush’s on-screen character provide “Raayan” an additional level of mystery. Assuring a powerful cinematic experience are SJ Surya, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, and Dhushara Vijayan, who play important roles beside him.
